Group Login is intended to provide more clarity when entering passwords. The previous password solutions are to be replaced by Group Login in the future. This way, different applications should still use the same login solution and employees should not have to remember multiple passwords.
You can change your password at any time at https://passwordchange.volkswagen.de.
For a system running on a QS Stage, you can change the QS password at https://passwordchange-qs.volkswagen.de.
If you don't know on which stage the system is running please choose the first link.
Password Self Service (PWSS)
If you have access to the VW Intranet (e.g. by a colleague) you can change your password yourself with your PKI card at https://pwss.vwgroup.com.
The colleague has to log in to the computer with his own user name and Windows password. Then insert your PKI card into the reader. Open the Password Self Service page in "Internet Explorer 11" or enter PWSS in the address bar. Log in preferably with your PKI card.
Go to "My Accounts" and select the system for which you want to request a new password. For the Microsoft account, this starts with "VWAG_AD_VWG...". Then click on "Request and display new password".
Enterprise Helpdesk (EHDD)
Alternatively, any employee can contact the Enterprise Helpdesk (EHDD).
You manage the PIN of your PKI ID card via the software "trustWare CSP+" or "Nexus Personal". One of the two applications is already installed from the delivery of the PC if it is a PC managed by Volkswagen. For Macs that are managed via Volkswagen, there is the option to select "PIN" in the "Personal" app and then change it under "PIN Management". For more information and a more detailed explanation, contact the Enterprise Helpdesk (EHDD) or use the following page in Volkswagen Net: Volkswagen PKI Card (English)
With the help of a registration procedure, you can identify yourself to the website and thus confirm your identity. Which registration procedure is required depends on the security level of the website.

Passwords
Since 2020 Group Secure Login is a method for securely logging on to shared web applications that run via the Group IDP login service. For applications using Group Secure Login, the use of a temporary token is required to strengthen security by a second factor. Before that a one-time registration by letter or website must take place. With Group Login, this token is dispensed with and instead only the Group ID and the password are requested. (This was previously called the Web Services password.)
